To my surprise, the vegan breakfast on Northwest flights is actually vegan, but grape jelly on a raisin bagel?

You don't need to use the jelly on the raisin bagel. There are no rules. The condiments are there for you to use however you wish. You could put the jelly in your tea, or fling a spoonfull onto someone's neck in first class after yelling "aaaahhhhhhh chooooooo."

What's the beige stuff? It looks suspiciously like gruel (never before has a girl wanted 'more').

Gruel is more accurate, but it was oatmeal before I poured too much water on it. I should have put the jelly in there. Or grape jelly banana?

Lunch on our return flight was much better. I ordered a vegan meal and got a veggie pita with oil & vinegar & spices on it. Much better than the turkey sandwiches everyone else ate.

On Horizon Air flights, they serve big glasses of complimentary wine and beer, even on 40 minute flights at 9AM!
